International Islamic University of Malaysia atau IIUM didirikan pada 23 Mei 1983 dan didirikan berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip Islam. Berpusat di Gombak, Selangor, IIUM memiliki enam kampus lain di seluruh Malaysia: dua kampus medis-sentris dan Pusat Studi Foundation di Gambang, Pahang, dua kampus kota di Kuala Lumpur, dan kampus bahasa dan pariwisata di Pagoh, Johor.
IIUM memiliki 17 kulliyat atau fakultas dan didalamnya terdapat lebih dari 200 program studi atau jurusan. IIUM memiliki mahasiswa yang berjumlah sekitar 26.000 orang, yang berasal dari Malaysia dan mahasiswa internasional yang berasal dari 117 negara. International Islamic University (IIUM) merupakan salah satu universitas terkemuka di bidang Saintek dan Ilmu Keislaman di Malaysia.
